Audits
Independent Audit Reports
Liberty Fire District publishes independent audit reports to help residents review the District’s financial statements, financial position, and stewardship of public resources.
What Does an Audit Include?
An audit report includes the independent auditor’s opinion on the financial statements, the statements themselves, and accompanying notes.
Reports may also include findings, recommendations, management responses, and other communications. Review the complete report for the auditor’s conclusions and any limitations.
Understanding the Reporting Period
The District’s fiscal year runs from October 1 through September 30.
Reports are organized by the fiscal year covered—not the date the auditor completed or issued the report. For example, an audit for the year ended September 30, 2025, belongs under Fiscal Year 2024–25.
Reports Filed With the Florida Auditor General
Liberty Fire District’s submitted audit reports are also available through the Florida Auditor General’s website.
