Liberty Fire District is governed by a five-member Board of Fire Commissioners serving the residents of the District.

Commissioners reside within the District and serve staggered four-year terms. The Board’s officer positions include Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer. Commissioners serve without compensation.

Responsibilities of the Board

The Board establishes District policy, adopts budgets, oversees public resources, and plans for the District’s future needs. The Fire Chief directs department operations, emergency response, and training.

The Board acts collectively through public meetings. Residents are encouraged to review meeting information, attend meetings, and participate in District business.
